Rotan Pumps PD (Petrochemical Duty) rugged, carbon steel, internal gear pump series are specifically designed for pumping requirements where shock resistance, extra strength, durability, and extended operation life are a requirement. With two moving parts, the “gear-within-a-gear” principle ensures positive flow and low shear transmission of liquid. They posses excellent vacuum capability and can operate equally well in either direction. The simple design allows the pump to be adaptable to a wide range of applications and conforms to most API 676 requirements. This makes the PD series ideal for pumping liquids such as fuel oils, gasoline, lube oils, greases and other hydrocarbon based fluids.

With its modular design, the Rotan series pumps provide interchangeability of parts within the 10 PD pump size variations. This permits easy conversion from a standard to a specialized pump. All PD series pumps come with carbon graphite bearings and integral safety relief valve as a standard. Furthermore, the “true” back pullout design, when used in connection with spacer coupling, allows easy disassembly/inspection of the unit without removing the casing from the process line, reducing down time. The three smaller size pumps are capable of pumping up to 5 to 30 gpm, and can be directly coupled to 1200 or 1800 rpm motors. The larger 2 in., 2.5 in. and 3 in. ported pumps are available in capacities up to 40 to 130 gpm and can be directly coupled to 1200 rpm motors. For your higher capacity petrochemical processing applications, the 4 in., 5 in., 6 in. and 8 in. ported pumps are suited to pump up to 750 gpm.

Pumps available with flanges or NPT tapped dependent on the size and material. Flange connections according to: ANSI B 16.1/B 16.5, ISO 2084, DIN 2501, BS 4504 1969

All PD series pumps are Performance and Hydrostatically tested at the factory for quality insurance before released to the customer. Test reports can be supplied upon request at no additional charge.
