SENTRY Pulsation Dampeners
Positive displacement pumps create destructive pulsation and hydraulic shock due to the reciprocating nature of their stroking action, potentially damaging piping and system components. SENTRY Pulsation Dampeners and Surge Suppressors remove virtually all system shock, enhancing the performance and reliability of fluid flow in municipal, industrial, sanitary and chemical transfer applications. SENTRY Inlet Stabilizers minimize pressure fluctuations and acceleration head losses by preventing fluid column separation at the pump's inlet.
Features:
- Positive displacement pump discharge sizes from 1/8"" (3.18mm) to 6"" (152.4mm)
- Temperature ranges from -60 F to +400 F (-51 C to + 204 C)
- Custom models available up to 100 gallons (378.5L) & 25,000 psi (1,724 bar)
- The patented ""J"" Model air control allows for pressure or vacuum settings and is adjustable for suction lift or positive inlet pump conditions. (US Patent 6,089,837)
- SENTRY Pulsation Dampeners, Surge Suppressors and Inlet Stabilizers come in a full range of chemically resistant materials for even the most corrosive applications
- NSF/ANSI 61, CE, ATEX and CRN certifications available on select models
- All SENTRY housings are made in the USA, and each unit is tested at design pressure or higher to assure proper function and leak-free operation

SENTRY Inlet Stabilizers
Positive displacement (PD) pumps contain an inlet valve that alternately opens and closes, creating an acceleration and deceleration of fluid into the pump. Depending on process fluid characteristics and pipe arrangement, there will either be a scarcity or abundance of pressure and/or flow at the pump's inlet. The SENTRY Inlet Stabilizer with the patented J-Model air control effectively works to minimize these pressure fluctuations and acceleration head losses by preventing fluid column separation at the pump's inlet.

SENTRY XP Series High Pressure Pulsation Dampeners
SENTRY XP dampeners in 316L Stainless Steel with pressure ratings to 15,000 psi (1,034 bar) and optional pressure gauge are ideally suited for metering and dosing applications typical in the oil and gas industry. PTFE bellows are available with excellent chemical and thermal resistance, our patented PTFE Bellows design offers excellent flex life, compatibility with virtually all chemicals and solvents, and can withstand temperatures up to 220ºF (104ºC). Pressure rating to 5,000 psi (345 bar). Our newest XPH dampeners with a flow-through design are specifically designed to remove high frequency pulses greater than 15 Hz in addition to low frequency pulses. Removes hydraulic and acoustic pulses.
Features:
- Corrosion resistant 316L Stainless Steel solid shell with positive seal threaded cap in 8, 12 and 24 cu inches (0.13, 0.20 and 0.39 L)
- Choose from elastomer bladders in BUNA-N, EPDM and viton® or, our patented PTFE Bellows
- 1/2"" FNPT and BSP threaded and flow through inlets, 9/16"" autoclave, ANSI class flanges, or DIN flanges
- ATEX specific models conforming to EU directives, and CRN for Canadian provinces

SENTRY Sanitary Pulsation & Surge Dampeners
Designed for chemical processing, water treatment, and food/beverage applications, the Blacoh sanitary line of dampeners and surge suppressors feature specialized stainless steel bodies and tri-clamp fittings. For hygienic applications requiring clean-in-place components, the SENTRY CIP in-line flow through design and unique patent pending tube bladder eliminate problems with product holdup and trapped particles. Ideally suited for handling slurries and viscous fluids, it's gentle enough for the most delicate products.
Standard Sanitary Models:
- Solve: pump discharge pulsation, shaking pipes, splashing, product degradation, and inaccurate fluid metering.
- FDA compliant materials: polished and bead blasted 316L stainless steel surfaces.
- Tri-clamp inlets, optional T-handles, and autoclave safe wetted components for easy cleaning.
Flow Through Model:
- Single body construction for easy clean-in-place
- In-line flow through eliminates product holdup
- Bladder material: USP Class VI Pharma-Grade Silicone or Food-Grade EPDM
- Molded ends connect directly to pipe and seal with 2.5"" Tri-Clamp fasteners without separate gaskets
